Our Story

Rooted in a rich history that began with our pre-school, Tiny Tots Montessori, founded in 1996 by Mrs. Patricia Morrison and Mrs. Camilla Haider Sama, we have steadily expanded to meet the needs of our thriving community.

Where Every Child
Finds Their Path

Located in the heart of Old Town Area 2, Lilongwe, Sapitwa International School has grown from humble beginnings into a vibrant, Cambridge-accredited institution offering world-class primary and secondary education.

At SIS, we are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential by embracing their individuality, fostering creativity, and promoting academic excellence. We pride ourselves on being a school that values diversity, inclusivity, and the principles of unity and respect.

Bullying, racism, and any form of prejudice have no place here — instead, we foster a family-like atmosphere where every individual feels loved and respected.

Principal's Welcome

"Every child is valued as a unique individual with the potential to achieve greatness."

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Sapitwa International School, a place I am proud to call home. My name is Mrs. Julliet Sangu, and I have had the privilege of dedicating many years of my life to teaching and nurturing young minds. Being part of this school is not just a profession for me; it is a calling, a passion, and a lifelong commitment to fostering excellence in education.

At Sapitwa International School, every child is valued as a unique individual with the potential to achieve greatness. Our mission to “Strive to Succeed” is more than just a motto—it is the heart of our community. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to explore their talents, develop critical thinking skills, and grow into compassionate, confident, and responsible global citizens..

Our school is built on a foundation of love, respect, and inclusivity. Just as I care for my own family, I hold every student at SIS close to my heart, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Watching them flourish academically, socially, and emotionally is the greatest reward for the work we do here.

I invite you to explore our vibrant community, where innovative teaching, modern facilities, and a wide range of extracurricular activities combine to create a truly transformative educational experience. Together, let us inspire our children to embrace their dreams and prepare them to shape a better future.
